This Privacy Policy explains how Ki-Mo collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Ki-Mo mobile application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Account information, such as username and email address
• Profile information you choose to provide
• Content you create, upload, or share, including posts, messages, photos, and videos
• Technical information such as device type, operating system, and app version
• Usage information related to how you interact with the app

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve Ki-Mo
• Enable account creation, login, and communication features
• Display and deliver user-generated content
• Protect the platform, prevent abuse, and support user safety
• Send service-related emails such as verification and password reset messages

Lawful bases (UK GDPR Article 6). We rely on: performance of a contract to create your account and deliver the service; legitimate interests to keep the platform safe, prevent abuse and diagnose faults; legal obligation where the law requires it; and consent where we ask for it separately, which you may withdraw at any time.

3. Storage and Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

4. Sharing and International Transfers

We do not sell personal information. We share it with service providers only where necessary to operate Ki-Mo:

• Hetzner (Germany) — server hosting
• Cloudflare R2 — media storage and encrypted database backups
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Expo, Apple, Google — push notification delivery
• RevenueCat — subscription validation
• Google, Apple — social sign-in, if you use it

Some of these providers process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, transfers are made under the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

5. User Content

Content you post or share through Ki-Mo may be visible to other users depending on the feature and privacy settings involved.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.

When you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted from the live service. Because we take daily encrypted backups, a copy may remain in those backups for up to 30 days, after which the backups are automatically destroyed.

7. Children’s Privacy

Ki-Mo is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Child Safety

Ki-Mo strictly prohibits any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAM). We actively monitor and remove any content that violates these rules. Users can report inappropriate content through in-app reporting tools. Accounts involved in such activities are permanently banned. We cooperate with law enforcement authorities when required. 9. Your Rights and Choices

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

• access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• have inaccurate data corrected
• have your data erased
• restrict or object to how we process your data
• receive your data in a portable format
• withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. For any other request, contact support@ki-mo.app; we respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. If you are in Türkiye, you may apply to the Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page.
